Revised MOT test

Anyone seen the breakdown of the revised MOT test starting in May. Two things caught my attention straight away. Fitting HID bulbs to headlights and removing EGR valve. I did both of these to my previous Disco 2 so under new rules it would fail.
Looks like Gov. have got it in for us older vehicle owners again particularly diesels. ☹️

It's just a draft proposal at the moment. With the MOT system, NOTHING ever goes to schedule. Most new things are not retrospective either. Forget any rumours that you may hear or see online. Anything official will be on here as a special notice that all MOT testers are sent (and must be read and acknowledged electronically otherwise our card is blocked to prevent us testing) long before it happens. https://www.gov.uk/topic/mot/manuals Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Thanks Steve that’s a bit of a relief, however no smoke without fire so fingers crossed. Getting hammered enough already for owning a diesel.
