United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Rimini Red

Had a bit of snow overnight followed by 4 or 5 inches in the time it took me to get ready and leave for work.
(I'm near Lanark and Biggar).
The roads were awful. Saw a couple of BMWs in fields and walls. I spent 20 minutes in a queue at the bottom of a long hill as everyone tried to make it up. I can confirm that Michelin Crossclimates are as good as any winter tyre I've had on snow. Several times I had to come to a stop on the fairly steep hill as other cars floundered. Each time I was able to start moving without any problems.

My job and out door hobbies require a reasonable knowledge of reading weather charts and predicting the weather. The Met Office totally over estimate when it comes to getting snow.

I regularly 'gamble' with my colleagues against the accuracy of the Met Office, today I won a chocolate bar and a coffee.

According to a friend in the Environment Agency, they haven't used Met Office data for years.

I got 0mm of snow today Sad
