posting small package to Russia ? any issues

Im selling a 2nd hand Intel CPU on ebay and Ive had an enquiry from Russia (although I ticked no international postage)

But just in case that is the only bidder Ive looked at a few delivery service websites and Parcel Force seems would seem to be the easiest to use.

Anyone posted stuff like this to Russia ? Any restrictions, customs issues I need to be aware of. Jules

Just be carefull your buyer in Russia claims he didn't receive the package when in fact he did and subsequently claims a refund through eBay

Been there done that. Neutral

I have posted stuff to Russia on many occasions without problems.
It is a massive market and has great potential.
Your item should be labelled clearly using correct address format and customs declaration attached.
Many problems posting to Russia happen when the item is held at point of entry because it does not have the correct paperwork. your buyer will never receive it and quite correctly claim a refund from you.
(It is the sellers responsibility to get the item paid for to the buyer)
(The item may also attract duty) Confused
It is not for the faint hearted
It is much simpler to post only to the EU.

thanks for the advice.

On balance Ive decided to not offer postage outside the EU - just not worth the potential hassle for just one item. Jules
