2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black

Heater Blower stopped working

Hi guys'n'gals,
A bit of advice is required as to where i start. I have a Freelander 2 07 plate and I went to the car this morning to de-ice and found the Heater/fan blower is not working in the car. As far as I know all was ok yesterday. If you turn the heater dial on, you get a faint whirring noise for about 2 secs but nothing else. Someone has said a resister pack could be faulty. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
