United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black
Goodbye for now!

So, as some may have seen my last post included a picture of my MY2011 GS Upside down in the road due to a K*#b Audi driver driving too fast and forcing me to swerve and roll my car..

As expected it was subsequently written off. A quick note on that subject that seems to be something rare, I'm with Adrian Flux with ERS as the underwriter,
13th July - Crash
16th July - Collected from the recovery agent
20th - Officially written off
24th - me and the finance company received the money via bank transfer.

I think that's a pretty quick turn around compared to some horror stories..

so!! out with the old!

Me and the better half visited Hunters in Derby last weekend and collect out MY13 Disco 4 XS tomorrow

We have 3 children (10yrs, 7yrs & 6 months) so with a pram and isofix child seat is was quite a squeeze in the Freelander so decided to go bigger!

I'm going to wait out on commenting on Hunters until everything has been complete, but we've had our ups and downs..

So I bid you farewell for now..

I still have my FL1 MY04 for work, but having racked up 220,000 miles so far and going up 500 miles per week, I'll probably have to upgrade in the near future, probably to a Freelander 2 early model..

I'll keep my account active but I'm also on Defender2.net for my MY1986 90 and i'll be on Disco4.com both under the same name.

Thanks all for the advice and at times hilarious conversations!

I'll have a few bits for sale in the coming days including a FL2 dog guard (as usual with no bottom brackets, but doesn't need them) a GS spare alloy wheel, a jack kit with wheel brace and foam etc and a set of rubber mats.. (I made sure I stripped the car before they recovered it Wink

see you all soon!

Browny!

Browny, sorry to see the horror accident you had but really glad you all walked away. The D4 is apparently an amazing car and as you say with 3 kids plus ancillaries the extra boot space will come in handy.

I too have decided to move away from FL2 having been offered a really good deal on a 62 plate Evoque SD4 from Gordon Lamb Land Rover (now Farnell Land Rover) in Chesterfield,

so ill have some similar items to yours coming up for sale this weekend........ let the bidding commence Laughing

\Rog,

Thanks, the Evoque would be great, but not big enough or practical enough for us at the minute.

Don't seel your stuff yet, I need exclusivity to get the best price! I've got lots of mods in mind for the disco!!

haha ive got some mods in mind for the Ewok as well, its a perfect size for me as my kids have their own cars and money (even though they still come back every so often Laughing ) so its just me and the dog.

Ill take my time with advertising, just put the stuff up that you don't advertise. (armrest, heko wind deflectors, black side vents etc)

enjoy the D4 mate, looking forward to seeing your mods Thumbs Up
