Wrapped cars, do they ever look good?

The header pretty much asks the question. I've seen plenty of wrapped cars but they always look just like that, wrapped. Can a decent wrap ever make a car look 'unwrapped'? Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

No. It always looks horrible, bl***y horrible, even when it's (perversely) done at the factory and supplied that way new (Matt black MkII Ford Focus RS500). It even has a limited life so, even if the owner isn't sick to death with it after 2 to 3 years, it'll start to come away of its own accord anyway! The only good news is that it's easy to peel it off with the use of a hot air gun Thumbs Up

It's best left for advertising hoardings for commercial vehicles!

Wraps should be left for commercial vehicles, don't see the point of it on a car. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

A relative of mine does it. Most customers (for cars) are people with money - Prem footballers etc. They buy a brand new RR (for example) - he wraps it. A Man City player had his Aston done in khaki camo...
When they're bored of the car and want to trade it in for something else (not usually very long!) they just pull the wrap off and it's good as new before it goes back.

Looking good is, of course, subjective. I would guess those that get it done probably like the look of it...

It is distinctive, and offers the possibility of a very custom look which isn't permanent. Generally I think the vast majority of cars on the road are very bland, mostly a handful of colours with little to no personalisation. So, personally, I like seeing people mix it up a bit, introduce some more personality on the roads, although it's probably not something I would do. FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green
