anyone used this ?

was recommended to me at the weekend by a 75 year old ex taxi driver who uses it on his black BMW with great results.

Yes I've used it the bottom line is its good for what it is,personally I would never ever use it on a dirty car like they say to do on TV it gives a lovely shine very easily with some short lived protection.

short lived protection ? so not as good as normal car polish then ?

No if you want protection try something like Meguires 16 carnuba wax very easy on off and really does last,the showroom shine Williams etc is generally for a quick shine between waxing. There is a big difference between polishing and waxing.

I have previously used Werkstat products, spray on wipe off, so simple.
Werkstat is no longer available but has been taken over by Carlack, their products are now sold and do the same job

An old quick shine trick we used on dark colours.
Late night taxis driving on country and farm roads then needed for airport, hotel, funeral work next morning.
Wash as normal and then rinse using a bucket of cold water with a cup of paraffin added. Super shine for the day!! All FL2's (3) Gone

Showroom shine has one fault if you ask me, I have tried it, yes its easy to use and creates a nice shine but it leaves a white residue on grained black plastic surfaces such a bumpers and mouldings so you have to be careful how you apply it and if its windy the spray can drift onto it.
I prefer to use Meguires wax polish as you can spray it anywhere and it doesnt leave any trace of marks, saves time and so much easier.

Sonax brilliant shine detail spray is superb and available from Eurocarparts at a great price . Wash car ,dry ,spray Bsd wipe off , gives a good few weeks protection no problems . Or use as a drying aid and it leaves a layer of protection that way .

Use bodysheild pro ONLY ON exterior plastics and glass and wheels , makes wheels much easier to clean next time ,quick wipe over after washing (wheels) let dry then apply ..  Wales
Were the mud is thicker, and the ruts are deeper.
(And we have the water to wash it off, and more on the way..! )
