Its a 2008 with 50,000 km 2.2D with 152HP, it's actually a SE model but with extras that brings it almost to the HSE level.
I have memory seat that includes mirrors position, sunroofs, leather, heated seats, Navigation, privacy glass, automatic gear box, electric folding mirrors heated as well and probably more things i forgot.
needless to say that by now i got rid of those yellow side blinkers and replaced them with clear ones

I have dealer used car warranty until October then it will be scheduled for remap at a place that managed to squeeze almost 200 HP form this motor.

Nice ! Is there much of a decrease in mpg with a 30% uplift in hp ? Or isn't that not a concern for you, don't know what price of Diesel is in Germany Smile

The 152HP model in my opinion is kind of marketing "scam" in order to justify the extra cash for SD model (190HP)and the re-map will just release what was there from the start.

So far people that re-mapped there FL2 reported better consumption by 1L/100km mostly to the simple fact that you need less throttle opening to gain the same momentum.

Re-map will increase the efficiency of burning the fuel that goes in.
I remapped my motorcycle my self with a map someone else done on a dyno and got the same results (more torque across the all range and better consumption)

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey

Hi everyone,

After much searching for a 2013 model I finally found the one a GS covered 17500 miles, I had a 2004 td4 SE for eight years best most reliable motor ever let's hope the FL2 keeps me happy for so long. I do have a few queries I've tried googling which keep leading me to this forum hence the join request.
1. Can I turn the volume down on the reverse parking sensors?
2. Can I get the voice activation button on the steering wheel to work or is it only compatable with the touch screen?
3. There is a guide on here for fitting colour coded door handles, are these only available from the dealership?

Hope these questions are okay in this section.

Thanks guys

Nigel

Hi Roadhog300

Try the following websites they seem to have colour coded door handles (they look fantastic !!):

http://www.powerfuluk.com/land-rover-freel...-blue.html

http://www.lrparts.net

https://www.pimpmyrange.co.uk/products/lan...-1260.html

Prices seem to vary widely ...

Hi all, Having just purchased a freelander 2 I hope it's a good reliable car. I had a disco a few years back but always found it a big ole gal. I choose this Freelander after trawling all the reviews but you people convinced me it's a good choice. Thanks for that I will be looking at all the posts to learn much more.
Cheers.
Dave

Germany 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Orkney Grey

Hi there,
I´m Michael from Germany and have a FL2 of 2012 . Just found this forum and would like to learn more about my FL2, which has done very good up to now . It has 169T km on the clock with only 2 door locks changed: that was all.
Brake pads changed at 120Tkm . Very good record in my opinion.

Have a good time!
Michael

Hi,

My name is Ian, I just registered because i'm on the look out for an early Freelander 2 - 56 to 08 plate range.

I had a discovery 2 briefly, but always been a land rover fan.

Ian.

New to this site Hello

Hi all I decided to join this site tonight as I own a FL2 sport auto 2011 and love it, It only comes second to my wife ( she'd kill me if I didn't say that ! ).
I used to me a mechanic and for a short time worked for a Land rover dealership and I suppose I started off life in an independent LR garage that is still going strong today, which isn't bad as I am now 51 and was 19 when I worked there.
I always loved the Land rover range and thought I would never own one given their price but 2 yrs ago I signed my life away for this model and although painful once a month I am managing to hang onto it.
I live near Hull and my local dealer is Hatfield's who I have had excellent service from and although I could do all the work on my car myself I want the dealer stamps in the book and support when I need it so it goes to them for servicing etc.
My FL2 developed a diff whine at 32k miles and I took it back to Hatfield's for them to confirm and after just 2 days they had secured approval for a free replacement courtesy of Land Rover customer care dept. which I was very grateful for.
I am planning on getting a caravan and have just purchased a genuine NEW removable tow bar on eBay from a dealer called Duckworth Land rover the price was great at £135 so great for anyone looking for one.
In the danger of rabbiting on all night I better stop now and just say Hello. Very Happy
