Hesitation when changing from 1st to 2nd gear

We I pull away and change from 1st into 2nd there is a hesitation that feels like the engine bogs down, it's only for a second or two but the more I think of it the more it's annoying me. Is this normal or is something wrong ??

Not normal, any other symptoms or have you had any error codes?

I experience a strange feeling when changing up from first to second. It doesn't happen every time and it
feel as though the clutch sticks momentarily.

It doesn't happen when changing into any other gear.

Not a problem but as you say a little annoying.

I get that too, dont think its anything to do with sticking more like the engine is still trying to drive as it hasnt slowed down quickly enough for your change, and its made worse in the lower gear because of the higher speed between the input and output, maybe the FL2s have a heavier flywheel than normal, doesnt do it if youre a tad slower with the change i find?

This may be widely off target but I used to have the same hesitation on changing from first to second. I just put up with it for a few months but then I started to have clutch issues that turned out to be he DMF. The clutch plate was fine but both were changed.
Since they were changed I have a silky smooth change from first to second with no lag or hesitation.

May be a consideration but at £800 it's not a solution you really want Rolling Eyes MY2010 XS Fuji White dog carrier

It had a clutch and dmf last year approx 5000 miles ago so shouldn't be that.

I suppose it has only done small journeys lately so a good thrashing might get it hot enough to burn the crap out.

Just make sure you take your foot fully of the clutch between 1 & 2nd as there is a 3 stage switch on the clutch pedal they reduces throttle load depending of position of pedal and can create a hesitation Jaguar x-type sport gone
