Depends on road conditions, driving style, heavy right foot, etc., etc. Also I wouldn't rely on the on the read outs, you need to calculate from measurements to be accurate. An older thread also talked about replacing the MAF sensor. Mine is a 2007 and never had anything less than 33 mpg, up to 39. |

It was a mixture of motorway (steady 70mph) A road (50-60mph) and short town journeys. I have a light right foot It better to laugh than cry

I mainly drive around rural areas and get just over 40. This rises when I go on long motorway trips. My son has an identical FL2 and gets about the same wherever he drives. (ie across fields or on motorways) 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Click on the fuel pump icon in my sig. You will see the story over the past 2 years. Presently an overall 28.1 mpg including caravan towing. 32 mpg solo only. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

I've been used to a disco3 auto and with the same style of driving would of achieved about 25mpg. My freelander is a manual and I was hoping for about 40mpg......time will tell. I know most people say the lieometer is inaccurate but in my disco it was always within 1 mpg. It better to laugh than cry

my old TD4 manual FL2's both gave me around 37mpg and with careful driving I managed 45mpg a few times. (although that was long motorway driving with air con off) |

My d3 auto used to regularly return 23-24mpg around town and 27mpg on a run. I was hoping a manual freelander which is a lot lighter would return at least mid thirties It better to laugh than cry

How are you finding the engine noise in the lr2 over the lr3? Freelander 57 plate XS Blue Auto |
