As others, I would like to update the bumper grille of my freelander MY11 to the MY13 facelift.

Reading a similar topic on this forum, I know that (as a new part) you can not order the grille without the bumper

I have checked on some MY13 pictures and it seems to me, that the main facelift grille difference is this extra plastic chrome part, which I have remarked on the below MY13 picture.

Does anyone know, if this part can be ordered separately and easy fitted to a MY11 grille?

Furthermore, I would like to update it to black gloss, but I think this could be solved just repainting the original grille

It is not a new part, so I assume that some fixation points could be broken, but it could be a good option.

I went to a JLR dealer this morning and told me that this part does not appear as an individual part.

They told, I should order all the complete set, bumper + grille,....

Just buy some black paint, a roll of chrome strip off eBay and do it yourself.

I did this mod a year or so ago, have a look at the pics. It easy to swap but the front bumper will need to come off. Finding a second hand bumper or grill is the only option. MY11 Freelander 2 TD4 S, Santorini Black, Almond Cloth, Full MY 2013 facelift, Factory Privacy Glass, Clear View Pack, Folding Mirrors, Rear Parking Sensors, LR 19" DogLeg Alloys, and lots of other stuff!

Very nice freelander "RobGColl"!!!!....doing these 3 mod (19” alloy wheels and MY13 headlamps + frontal grille) and the Freelander is totally updated.
