Great video. Thumbs Up Did you check the voltage of the old battery, was it knackered or was it the poor circuit board connection that was the problem?

The old battery was 2.7v so was a bit knackered

Just fixed my fob today with a little help from this tread. CPC are selling the battery for 3.36 inc p&p

I opened up the fob and the father-in-law fitted the battery for me, he repairs chiropody drills so he is a dab hand at soldering. Glued the fob back together and everything is fine now. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

I've just repaired one of my fobs and when I tried it got stuck and wouldn't come out the dash so after much fiddling about i got it out.

The case didn't seem to be quite together enough after gluing it back together so I sent for a replacement case off ebay and fitted this case with the circuit board and emergency key and it now works great, the best thing is that this case doesn't need gluing and just clips together so battery replacement will be a lot easier in the future should it be needed. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE

I tried my fob after changing the battery and it was a little snug when I inserted it. I might buy a new case as you can see where I've opened it, that's probably why it's a snug fit. But I'm really please it works with a new battery so I think I'll keep it as the spare for now. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Today seen 4 Kodak batteries for a quid in a pound shop. These are quite common battery now.

Are these the sort of batteries that you shouldn't touch with bare hands?
