total waste of money, for a little more get a proper remap from somewhere like Alive

My TD5 Defender had a very expensive Puma Tuning box on it when I bought it. It was sometimes a bit rough when cold and often very smokey when towing.

Removed the box and almost every issue vanished overnight. Fuel economy is exactly the same and it drives better than ever

Only down side I can find is that I seem to have lost a little bit of top end speed - but in a Defender that's not really relevant Laughing

Surprised you feel it's not enough, quite a few on her are pulling T/A's. But as above, tuning boxes are a waste of money, another thing to consider is your Clutch and DMF, done correctly it will limit the torque when starting off, a box of transistors won't. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Hi Dobba a DMF Is a dual mass flywheel as opposed to a solid flywheel it works sort of like a shock absorber between the engine and gearbox when taking up drive.
