Ipod/iphone cable connections

Hi Ive got a 2011 Model Year XS with premium alpine audio system and i want to run my iPod / iPhones by cable through to the head unit.
Question is, how do i do it? i can't find any usb ports or Am I missing something? People have mentioned the glove boc but I can't see anything ! Help

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Aintree Green

There is a lead for the iPod that land rover supplied for the freelander which fitted in the glovebox, but it's not cheap for what it is. I used to use the aux for my iPod which work fine. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

If the 2011 is the same as my old MY57 then it's right at the end of the center console between the seats and the 2nd power point there too. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green
