What do owners think of the 2014 models (also late 2013) on a 14 plate before the metropolis etc models took over from the GS, XS and HSE etc?

Privacy glass - a good safety feature which allows you to leave things on the rear seats and in the boot without being seen by prying eyes. It also shades our dogs from direct sunlight and that is a bonus.

Heated front screen- handy for about one week in the year where I live, but I can see that in other parts of the country that it would be a bonus. It took me a while to get used to looking through the heating elements in the glass rather than at them but after a while, that goes away. It doesn't interfere with my mobile phone reception (iPhone app called 'Waze' is free and way better than the bonkers satnav which comes with JLR vehicles, so that's always on instead of the fitted satnav) or with my dashcam's GPS signal.

If you want my opinion of the other HSE gear, please ask. Overall, HSE spec is nice to have but not necessary. Given the choice again, i'd go for an XS and instead spend my money on decent Winter Tyres to leave on all year round. Whereabouts unknown stop going to follow stream until reach civilisation stop message ends

Obvs you need to scrape the ice off as usual but a plus is the electric heating element in the FR2 heater. Means the demister heats up very quickly. That comment is based on my old MY07. The heated screen on my HSE is certainly quicker! I do find the heating element, visible in certain lights, slightly annoying. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
