20" wheels n tyres

Hi all
I'm after some advice on 20" wheels n tyres
I've been looking round and found 20" wheels, the dealer says that
275/40/20 tyres will be ok, I have my doubts and I'm concerned that
these will stick out passed the wheel arch, anyone had experience of
this (off set is 45 if that helps)
I've also seen some 19" shadow chrome and a different dealer says I
can put 255's on these, is this correct ?
Advice required, thank you Freelander 1 se 1.8 petrol

My personal opinion is to still with factory sized tyres.

So on 20" rims, use 245 45 20"
And on 19" rims use 235 55 19" Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

It's been argued before, but 245/45r20 is the evoque fit and whilst factory fit for the evoque, it is slightly smaller than the factory fit radius of 19,18,17" wheels of the freelander 2 .... The matching radius for a 20" wheel is 255/45r20. I fitted 255/45 to match . . . No worries about haldex. It's the same radius.

275/45 r20 has been fitted by some with no issues. And is a size I would consider also myself.

Not when you talk the to R&D guys at Gaydon like I did. The Freelander Dynamic was going to have 20" wheels with 245 45 20" tyres as a factory option. 245 was the tyre to be used. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
