Work for a tyre dealer and see this all the time with Landrover/Ford/Volvo wheel nuts,after being on and off over the years they start to corrode under the covers and swell up,then you have to force a socket on and most times the outer chrome cover comes off.This leaves a rusty nut with around an 18mm socket size.
