blackvue my13 perm live low battery warning

My blackvue arrives soon, and I have seen a few threads with issues surrounding
The power connections on a my13, specifically locating a Perm live and
Resolving the low battery warning.

Did anyone manage to solve this?

Any tips appreciated.

I looked into this for my eprance dashcam and decided to just plug it into the cigar socket in the cubby box with an extension lead. It works a treat and is ignition switched live. Downside is no motion detection but I wasn't fussed and did not want to Censored about with the fuse box and finding a live feed in there etc. * GONE. GS TD4 Manual MY2013. There is a perm live posting in one of my threads on the subject

I used to get low battery warnings but now use my power magic to switch it off after so many hours

I have also noticed that my voltage when starting is 12.5 until I have driven my car and gone about 3000 revs then the output is 14.7 Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

For the many years I've had my Blackvue, I've always wired it into the ignition.

Wasn't prepared for the camera to turn itself on at the whim of a breeze, just to film the brick wall of my house and run my battery down. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

So, how many hours will it run typically before you get the low battery warning?

Is it worth upgrading the battery?

cheers

It can be on from 6pm till 8:30 the next morning

But will power down when I open up the car and it brings things back to life, dropping below the 11.8v power off threshold Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I had similar issues with the low battery voltage warning. There is a bug in the body control module of some my13 cars which affects the battery charging. I got the dealer to update, and have not seen the warning since. Fuji White MY13 SD4 Dynamic
