sat nav screen brightness

Hi guys
any one else had some difficulty with the brightness of the factory sat nav screen ?
I have been turning the auto brightness off during the day so I can see the map then turning it on at night so its not so bright in the car ....
Cant seem to find a happy medium.

Anyone else ?

Mine is very dim when the car is cold.

Unfortunately I don't have a solution for this.
