tbh ive had better deals from them this time of year, ratchet spanners and metric only sets.

but yes they are good quality, in several years of on farm use weve managed to break a 13mm ratchet spanner nothing else
(its not broke exactly more worn out on the ratchet teeth) At work

That's the only downside CG, the warranty does not include moving parts, but it is not the end of the world, if the ratchet section does fail, they do a service kit so you can repair it.

...so they gave me the 170 piece set for the same price! Absolute bargain.

I still have some Whitworth spanners that my Dad used at work and which were useful on parts of a Morris Marina.

Does anyone remember the Vauxhall Chevette that had AF nuts on the bodywork but metric on the engine (or was it the other way round?)

Those were the days when all you need for electric diagnostics was a car headlamp bulb and some croc clips.

I still have limited use for non metric stuff, the bigger American made John Deere tractors, bobcat skid steers loader and a few others.


I rarely find use for such as 12mm.14mm 15mm 16mm

a set with 10 13 17 19 21 24 27 32 would be good


there is a firm making double open ended spanners with different sizes at each end , so in theory you always have two spanners for each size At work
