I am needing to do some long continental runs in winter conditions so could do with a correct size used spare to go with my 17" winter set.

A 10-spoke type 2 alloy as fitted to XS/SE models is preferred but not essential. Part worn 235/65/17 tyre with some tread remaining to be used as a spare. A winter tyre would be best. DrRpb, 3disco, thanks for the pointers, but I need an alloy wheel. Steels are limited to 50mph. Something to do with the nut taper cone shaped for alloys, not steels.

I have a just upgraded to 18". So I have my 4 wheels with tyres in the garage off my 57 se with wranger tryes you can have one wheel and tyre for £80-£100 depending what you take The fronts had 4-5mm and the backs 3-4mm. I am only in Wakefield just up the M1.

Hi thanks for your offer. However, another forum member has this weekend offered me a suitable wheel and winter tyre for a good price. To complete the deal we just need to sort the logistics. Hence I have not changed the thread from "wanted". I had best do it now!
