Nick have you tried Hillam feeds near monk Fryston they are a good stockist of animal gear, we normally buy a full size bail of shavings for about £6ish compared to £6 for a little packet from the well know pet shops,

http://www.shopcreator.com/mall/HillamFeeds/

They also have a shop in Kippax

If you go on eBay there are loads of vet bed sellers.
It's not the real deal but a fraction of the cost and just as good.

You can buy it by the metre or by the roll.

Its really long lasting, washes well and you can get it with an anti slip backing.

It isn't as plush but for the price it is really good.

It washes and washes on a 30 degree and last. ages.

I've had the coloured type with paw prints and anti slip backing. This was great for the boot.

Also I had some grey stuff which had really deep pile with a green backing like vet bed. The dogs loved this but it didn't wash as well but still lasted ages.

When the pile is worn (takes lots of washes) I cut it up and use it in our ferrets box. They also love it.

It's worth looking at the description for the gsm/density as some look identical but are thinner.

Order a 30x30 bit of vet fleece, looked ok and at £10 it not much to lose if I want to swap it

Choose a lovely charcoal will grey paws design too Laughing Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Yeah the Ebay stuff is fine, we have a few sheets of legit stuff and more fake stuff and after a few washes theres no difference.
