I was recommended to this forum from a fellow caravaner . At the moment I have a ford galaxay 2.2 which is great but at 5 yrs old it's time to change . I have had 2 freelanders in the past mk1 models , the first was an 1800 petrol , not a good car , we put up with it for 3 yrs then traded it in for a TD4 , fantastic car (2002 model) . When it was time to change land river priced me out of their market . Now that the freelander is coming to the end of the line the car seems to be a worth while option .
Well guys that's my background , hopping to pick your collective brains before I spend 34k on a car.

I'm Ben and live in Hampshire.

Just purchased today a Freelander 2 2013 SD4 HSE LUX from Hunters Land Rover. Got a very good deal even though I picked the one with more mileage. Mine is Orkney Grey with 10,000 miles owned by Land Rover management. Out of interest from those that have just spent over £30,000 am I making the right choice by getting a 2013 with 10,000 miles compared to the same car on a 63 plate with 6,600 miles.

I did get free extras, dog guard, mat, GAP insurance etc to sweeten the deal as both cars were the same price.

Would appreciate your advise to see whether I should get the Lower mileage one or stick with what I've got?

Well the doors open itself for a start and the car pours me a cup of tea in the morning. The things a 2023 car can do!

I wish more like! Thank you for the responses so far I have just cancelled my order for a brand new X trail top of the range as nothing compares to Land a Rover as the salesman kept telling me. Just wasn't sure whether the new reg car and less miles was worth me going to another dealer for. I think I'll give it a miss and stick with Hunters Southampton as they have been very good so far.

Hi everyone. I'm new here but not new to Freelanders, We are on our second.( Mk1 now 2)

I will now spend the next month searching for answers to all my questions:

Paint colour of the tailgate handle?
Whats the velcro loop next to the spare wheel for?
Why cant I open the windows without starting the car?

Just wanted to introduce myself. Recently purchased a 2011 FL2, GS facelift model. Really, really pleased. Even happier I have come across the perfect forum

Was also after some cheeky advise, I am looking to swap my one piece door handles with the two piece colour coded ones. Notice a couple of threads on here but sadly the links on how to change them are taking me to a blank page. Would be very grateful if any one can advise re instructions to change.
