It was hoping for some food scraps, but didn't get any. I am a firm believer that giving food to wild animals is killing them.

We had a discussion with Mike about GB and how you guys are restricted in your choices for off road driving. I insisted that you could go to Scotland and drive in the wilderness there... Am I naïve?

I'm afraid so. There's very little of the Scottish wilderness which can legally be driven, and Scotland doesn't have the same network of off-road rights of way, or green lanes, that England does. So generally Scotland is worse than England and you need the landowner's permission to drive off-road pretty much anywhere.
