I would like a Facelift

Hi all, Im wanting to upgrade my front bumper as its a 2007 model and looks long in the tooth but still drives great and just flown through the MOT

Can anyone tell me how hard it is to get hold of a bumper, and how difficult is it to fit and is there anything else I need? ie spotlamps??

Bumpers can be found on ebay for around £100 - these usually have some marks so budget around £200 for it respraying (this is what i paid)
Foglights from the pre facelift swap straight over and so do the washer jets and parking sensors if fitted Thumbs Up

1 thing to check is the facelift bumper has the foglight housings on the back - some do and some have them missing so make sure you ask the seller

Hi Elliot
Looks like Rob has covered most of the things to look out for above
If you do buy one from eBay see if you can get a black one it will be a lot easier for your paint shop to do the re spray
Pay attention to the grills and surrounds when you do your search and see if you can get one that doesn't need any work doing to them has this would keep the cost down on the re spray Thumbs Up
You will also need a set of front spats to complete the look

these can be obtained from Dan our site sponsor at a reasonable price

Good luck with the search Elliot and if you need any advise let us know Wink BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

As Slaneydore says the spats finish it off and are only £5 each from Dan at Duckworths

Also - try to get the foglight bezels with the bumper as these are £20 the pair used off ebay Thumbs Up

There did used to be another reason, many years ago if red was was the previous colour and White was being sprayed, to stop the red leaching through, spraying it black then the white stopped it leaching. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I doubt he would get one without scratches or dings, 99% of bumpers from eBay would need re-spraying BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

If it's damaged it makes no odds what colour it is, It's the same process. Scotch bumper, repair said scratches, primer, base coat then clear coat. It's no cheaper to do if it's the same colour or easier. You may save a couple of quid on paint if it's the same colour, but only if you mix the paint yourself.

Didn't say it was cheaper, said it would be cheaper if he finds one with the grill and surround in ex condition,,,,,so it wouldn't need to have 3 different colours added.....
There's a lot of masking up zogonda if he gets a black one they can cover over the fog light holes without worrying about getting right inside and all other nooks and crannies Thumbs Up
