Cloth 'S' seats and support - Problem

Evening all,

Has anyone else found that the basic cloth seats lose there firmness and support very quickly?? My drivers centre lumber springs now give and touch the rear metal support and twang merrily as I drive over bumps or accelerate.

The passenger side is fine, however it should be, nobody sits in it!!

Mine is a December registered '13 model with 5k miles on it!

Any thoughts? Worth taking back for someone to have a nosey or man up and live with it?

Hi James,

Got the same model as you. Haven't noticed this as an issue with mine, all seems fine, only done 2k miles so far.

Sounds like you may have an issue with yours ?

Sorry to hear that you are having a problem with your FL2. Sad I'd take it back to the dealer if I were you, it obviously shouldn't happen, especially as the car is still new. Maybe the seat will be replaced under warranty?

I have just had the cloth seat covers replaced on my 2011 model. They were wearing at the bolsters. It has 49k miles on it. Dealer replaced with no arguments. Good luck!

Definitely sounds faulty; had cloth seats in my last FL2 (2010MY) - no issues after 3 years and 40k or so...

Given that the car's practically brand new suggest taking it to the dealer for them to have a look & sort!

Re: Cloth 'S' seats and support - Problem

Jimski,
I own a 58 FL2 S model. Having a similar issue as yourself, but not as bad. Poor lumbar support on the drivers seat. Feels flat. I suffered from back ache for a few months after first purchasing the landy, my back has now seemed to adapted to it more. There again I'm not the main driver. The elec seats are far better, as they have manual lumbar adjustment, unlike ours. Landy has now gone.

Thanks for all the replies, popped into Stafford LR today, tech came straight out had a poke and a wiggle in my chair, booked in for Friday for a fix/nosey and repair!! He admitted it wasn't right compared to the passenger.

It's either broke, come unclipped inside or a duff one Smile

Only downside is no courtesy available, so no posing in something newer, nicer and that has more toys! 2013 FL2 - Black Edition Auto
