I can't believe they'll have a leg to stand on, though if there are any loopholes anywhere they'll find them!

Good luck, hope it goes the way you want it to. Thumbs Up Joanne

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 Sport Auto Firenze Red

So the car went into the LR dealer.

the smart repairer was very quick to tell me that this wasn't his work and that his company would have never attempted to paint a door panel (even though their flyer that were in the LR dealers has a photo of them spraying a door panel). Anyway fearing the worst and after several comments about the previous owner must of having this done I mentioned that the details on the computer about my vehicle said there was a smart repair performed on the door molding (just blow the solvent pop). They carried on to tell me that no smart repair had been performed on the door.

Fearing the worst and ready to cause a fuss about the state of the car I asked what would happen next. The chap went of to see the general manager and after about 10 minutes of watching them go through all the car history on the computer system he re-appeared.
"I'm sorry but we can't fix the car today" - "but i'll ring you on Monday to book the car into the body shop as this can't be smart repaired with LR sorting it all out for you".

No idea what happened in the managers office but I believe after a bodged repair the day before i picked the car up they have realised their mistake and going to rectify the problem.

Its also going into the bodyshop instead of a smart repair. They also agreed to touch up a number of other tiny issues that I decided to raise while I was there.

Just waiting for the phone call but hopefully the dealers will sort out the problem now... Bow down
