Welcome Ant. Your Freelander look great, G4 ones are rare. It also looks like the previous owner was on the forum too. Don't know who it was though. Enjoy the site, it can be very helpful.

Might as well sell the Disco
Once you have got used to the superior ride and fuel economy the Disco will be left depreciating on the driveway.

Yes I still have Clementine, Stu for his sins now has a Disco2 G4 commercial - something about towing a horse box complete with two overgrown ponies

Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Oh believe me the disco is not going anywhere! As good as the FL2 is it could never carry the amount of kit the D2 does, (6 64 litre really useful boxes in the back alone) Will be my 2nd tow car when I go to shows towing my G4 trailer (back end of a 110 Hicap) while the D2 tows the caravan Will upload a pic of that

Hi all, long time Land Rover owner just signed up after letting my Defender go. I still have my Series 1, but now looking for a Hippo2 for me and her indoors.

Is there any buying advice on this site?

Welcome to the comfier side of Land Rovering.

Best bit of advice I can give is to not confuse the Freelander 1 with the Freelander 2, they have as much in common as a series 3 and a Disco 3.

Thought I would say hello. Recently joined the forum and been reading a lot of useful info. I've just purchased a 2007 HSE Freelander 2 in silver, which is my first ever Landrover. Not had it long but so far so good. I certainly know where to come for advice if needed, and hopefully be able to offer some too.
