Bilt-Hamber's good stuff - the Meguiars clay is pretty good too (and sometimes available in Halfords!), but recommend getting the mild clay unless you really need the aggressive version!

Clay, wash & wax or seal; couple of coats of the Gtechniq sealant should provide a great finish without much effort.

+2 to the Bilt Hamber clay .

Used clay for the 1st time last weekend and found it very easy to use, especially with just having to use water as a lube. At 1st didn't seem to be doing much, very little dirt was picked up on the roof and bonnet but what a difference it made to the panels below waist height. Removes tar spots easily too. Feels like glass to the touch now rather than sand paper like before.

I would recommend the softer clay as I had trouble molding it due to the low temperature. £10 and plenty left to do the car again.

I really like my current wax (Collinite No 476S - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wax/collinit...d_207.html ) but am always keen to find new things to treat my car with  FL2 2011 SD4 XS in Galway Green

476s is a excellent wax, its long lasting and gives a fantastic gloss to the cars, i moved on from using it to sealants and now use Gtechniq C1.5 as its gives very good results, maybe as glossy, but is so much easier Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

If you want a really, really good finish, try a few coats of GTechniq with a topper of Collinite ....

Quick wash then 30 minutes to whip round with Acrylic Glos quick detailer, looking good for 52k on the clock now

Too true,,,,I've spent over £400 on higher end items just to try like Gtechniq & Zymol & that was on only 2 shops I allready had loads of stuff! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
