Auto box whine

Hi,

my auto box slightly whines on 1st gear - I think this is rather "vehicle characteristic" noise than a fault but would like to know from other members if anyone noticed that ?
The whine sounds similar as if you put a manual car into reverse and floor it - but much quieter.

Have no other problems with the box.The whine is only in 1st gear (in all modes incl.HDC)

Thanks guys

I thought that - especially when I drove a brand new Defender last week.This one whines in all gears and I definitely love all those mechanical sounds it makes Now I can honestly say that I drive a car with Defender DNA
