England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Zermatt Silver

Hi all, still looking at the moment sold my d3 to forum sponsor gazellio cars on the d3 forum, looking at 60 plate xs at guy salmons when it comes in,

Hope to see 30+ mpg round town, and £170 tax will good, I should be able to carry out more of the service requirements.

I am concerned at the perceived lack of space,

Any info from d3 to freelander 2 converts would be very helpful.

New FL2 owner

Razz Hi!
I´ve just purchased my first FL2, a 2007 HSE I6 with a lot of nice gadgets to play with (or getting mad about). Rolling Eyes
It´s in Stornaway grey with tan interior. Great combination, if you ask me. I had a Beemer as a company car but now I´m changing occupation so I´m getting rid of it tomorrow and picking up the Freely at the same time. Wife liked the BMW a lot and are quite suspicious right now, but that will change. But the two teenage daughters, especially the one that are horse riding, are crazy about the new car. And I love it. Makes me feel good looking and very special. Kind regards Per Kringberg from Ingarö, Sverige

ps. if my english is a bit crappy, let me now. I´m learning all the time..ds. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

I don't for a minute think that anyone would decry your English , for 2 good reasons, 1, your English is actually very good.

2, your English is wayyyyyyy better than most people's Swedish .

Enjoy. Your freelander.

Big Hello

Hi All
Posted a question the other day but forgot to say hello here. Picked up my new 2013 SD4 about a week ago. It's my second as I had a 57 Plate back in 2007, then a Super Charged RR, then a Disco 4 and now back to a FL2. I like Landrovers !

Already fitted Evoke 19" Alloys, Plasti dipped front grill, rear chrome handle and side vents. I'm also running a bluespark Pro tunning box with some very good results without wrecking the DPF.

Also got a winch in the bag in the boot, just so I can recover Nissan Qasqai's that get stuck on the school run !

All in all very pleased !

I would post some pics if I could work out how !

Rob

Great colour choice Whistle The Evoque rims look great too. Why did you change? A rear spoiler would finish it off nicely. Thumbs Up

I actually didn't want the rear spoiler as I do a lot of windsurfing and the spoiler get's in the way. I'll always have a roof rack on there anyway so my aerodynamics are shot......besides I've got 242BHP to play with so doesn't really matter.

I changed the wheels as I wanted it to look a bit diffent and I haven't seem many FL2 with Evoke wheels yet. It was cheaper to do the change aftermarket than specified at order. Even the 19's have a decent tyre on them so still pretty good off road and in the snow.

I'll be selling my brand new 17's alloys and tyres when I eventually get round to it.

242bhp? Have you tuned the engine? my SD4 only has 190bhp. The spoiler doesn't really do much, I think it just makes the rear look a little less boxy. Thumbs Up

I'm actually running a decent in line tuning box which adjusts the boost and cdr fueling along with a K & N filter. Works very well and I've been running it for about 4 years on different vehicles without an issue.

Trick is to pay for a good one, not a £100 on ebay that wrecks your dpf and continually sends the engine in to limp mode.

I've got an app on my phone and a blue tooth ObdII port adapter so can measure live stats like torque and bhp.
