Last week my Fuel filler flap fell off, bracket and hinge still there but just the flap went fly about never to be seen again.

I have a replacement but it comes as a complete unit with the plastic insert, outer filler tube, yellow cap and the hinge withe the flap apparently glued on. It also has the electrical connection for activating its lock.

I can't seem to find any advice about fitting it and wondered if anyone had experience of similar job.

Or may be I could warm up the flap and peel it off and then super glue it onto existing hinge? Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

If it is of interest to anyone I have now replaced the flap.

It is in fact plastic and slides onto the hinge arm and is held in place with a clip that can be released from the under the hinge arm.

I managed to get a complete fuel filler unit, with actuator (locking mechanism), yellow fuel cap and correct body colour flap from an online vehicle dismantler. So now have same minus the flap for sale should anyone be missing anything. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?
