Greece 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
i6 consumption

Hi everybody,

I have ordered my stornaway gray in mid December/2006 and have been told by my dealer in Greece I should have it by end of March.

I was only wondering if any i6's have been delivered out there?
Does anyone know the real petrol consumption if i6? Is 25mpg any close to reality?
I must admit that I m jealous of diesel numbers like 35mpg (is that possible?!?!) but I'm afraid that diesels are not allowed in Athens, so I had to opt for a petrol. Anyway it is supposed to be more fun to drive... I can't wait to drive it!

I drove the i6 auto on a long motorway drive and was able with care (approx 70-75mph) to get it to do around 26-28mpg which is not great but when used exclusively around town i'd expect about 18-20mpg. The i6 is quite responsive and the auto box is very smooth it does not make up for a very low mpg figure.
