Mine are a little slow at raising the tailgate to full height, never done it before, but this winter they have been a bit lazy. I might change mine. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Noticed mine are a bit lazy when the car's pointing uphill. But they're six years old now and I think there are more important things to worry about!
(Like how to earn enough money to buy another FR2 when this one gets a bit older!)

Yep, noticed mine were lazy. Smacked my head twice in two visits as not lifting as high.

Not just me then.
It's worse if you have to reverse park and are standing on a kerb.
I've lost count of the amount of times I've whacked my head due to the tailgate not lifting enough. Might try to silicone spray the struts.

It will be the Gas inside, the cold weather makes the Gas contract, will be ok when the weather warms up.

I have the same problem. It started with the cold weather. The tailgate just rises to a certain level (right where my forehead is) and I have to assist it to go all the way up.
I'll wait for warmer weather see if it changes, if not its time for new struts. Cuatro Por Cuatro
