If they were replaced by an LR workshop, could be worth getting in touch with them as the parts/work will be covered with a warranty still Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

If it is cranking and glow plugs were replaced recently, it could be the fuel supply.
Do you see some air bubbles in the transparent pipe between the fuel filter and the engine?

Most parts fitted will only have a 12 month warranty so might be out of warranty, best to check.

Minus 5 degrees here this morning, I would say mine had a 2 second delay and then turned over twice before firing.
