Radio not holding FM stations?

I've started to notice a problem with the radio in my HSE FL2. When I put it to the FM band it does not hold the selected station for more than 30 seconds or a minute and then it starts to scan across the other available stations. It will find a new station for a short time and then start scanning again. It doesn't matter what FM station I'm on and where I am the issue occurs. I don't have any problems on AM.

I live in Melbourne and I'm quite near to one of the transmitters for one of the FM stations that I normally listen to.

I can't find anything in the manual that might help.

Any suggestions before I head in to Land Rover for help?

Cheers,

Darren

Not really any help but I know Dad's D3 does this with some stations up here in Brisbane. I don't think the antenna in the rear window is very good.

Oshanda,
Did you get a resolution on this one?
I live very close to the Gore Hill transmitters in Sydney and noticed that my brand new (Day 1) car kept rescanning till I drove way out west.

Maybe its unrelated (could be a newbie problem) but the CD button doesn't work on the radio either.....

Otherwise Day 1 in the new car was an awesome experience - just turned the radio off and listened to that lovely diesel rumble.....

Hi all,

This is a feature of the RDS in your unit, it searches for the same station on another frequency when the signal is weak. in theory it will follow the station you have choses as you drive around the country.

to turn it off it is in the menu, something like station scan or you can turn RDS off al together.

Cheers.

Thanks nosliwedaw,

Turning off the RDS seems to have worked.

Cheers,

Darren

Actually what it is, that Land Rover put in wind up radio's for overseas owners. If it is not wound up enough you won't get a signal! Rolling with laughter
