My 6 year old got hold of my keys

In an attempt at showing off, my 6 yr old got hold of my keys to unlock the doors, she obviously pushed a certain combination of buttons because now when i try to lock it, the hooter beeps and it doesn't lock, can anyone tell me how to return this to normal?

thanks
Grant

on mine, the horn bleep tells me there is a door/boot/bonnet open - assuming they are the same spec down your way I would check them all and their switches

Very stage indeed! Could be some kind of warning that the key is out of sync? First thing I would try is disconnect the cars battery for 5 mins or so. My old car tought me that cures most strange electrical faults.

Fixed my freelander 2 when it would only read 1/2 a tank no matter how much fuel was in!

Does the key still start the car?

Maybe one of the key buttons is stuck, like boot open? or something.
