Removing the front passenger seat

Has anyone removed the front passenger seat and successfully reinstalled it? How to do it without messing up with the electronics?

For the benefit of anyone wishing to remove the front passenger seat this is what I found out: there is no problem as long as the key is not in the key bay (you don’t have to disconnect the battery). I called a few local car electricians who advised me that after removing the front passenger seat the air bag warning light will come on and will stay there until the front passenger seat is installed back and the electricians reset the computer to clear the warning light. Resetting would cost $85 to $100 (in Australia). They warned me that the front passenger seat is very heavy to pull it out without damage.
At the end I decided against removing the front passenger seat, as I managed to fit all my gear needed for my trip to Flinders Ranges and Lake Ayer. Good luck to you!
