Capless Brake Light Bulbs - Type 921 & 955 - W16W

Evening all,

Not the most interesting of subjects I admit, but anyone out there know the difference between a 921 and a 955 (universal trade part number) cabless bulb (not the mathematical difference!!!!). These are the type used in the high level brake lights on the FL2 and are described as clear capless W16W. Looking at pictures on the internet they seem identical, both quoted as W16W.
The FL1 uses the same bulb in the high level brakelight but Land Rover actually list them as separate part numbers, FL1 - XZQ100180 (£1.31 + VAT) and FL2 - LR000699 (£1.11 + VAT). A fellow LR owner asked me at work. He was worried they may be different value and cause problems with the electronics / bus etc. having taken one out of both cars they seem to be the same bulb (marked up the same) so should be no worries with the cars electrics.
Anyone out there work in the trade and can answer this?
