wheels have never been off after 3 years !!

just had my 3 year service/MOT, no problems.

but I know that the wheels have never been off.

the locking wheel nut key is always in the car, but I know it has never been used.

the car has only done 18500mls, but I would have thought that removing the road wheels should be at least part of one of the services ??

Iain

It's standard service procedure to have them off, a visual brake and suspension check is part of the service, and this does involve taking them off. They do use their own wheel nut keys though, ours hasn't moved either...part from when I've used it

And if you ask them not to clean your car you have handprints on the wheel and around the nuts. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

I still don't think they have ever been off, must be my suspicious nature !!

first chance I get I'll take them off and have a nosey around.

that's if they are not stuck to the hubs !!

Start marking everything with a dab of tippex or the like across the adjoining parts, then you can tell.
