Dont know if anyone has experienced any of the below, freelander 2 seems to be always wanting to go down a gear, example when in 6th at around 60mph, as light whine and car feels like it want to go back to 5th, this also is the same in 5th, wanting to go to 4rth etc... but not all the time, also feels 1rst, 2nd and 3rd seem a bit stiff/tight, do go into gear no problem just a bit thight, it is a 07 freelander 2 with 69000 miles, not long serviced and has full L/R history so dont think any bad servicing been done, has had the final drive pinion bearing replaced around 4000miles ago according to the paperwork at L/R, dont know if this makes a difference, I do have a years warranty supplied with the car from car protect and it is the 5* gold protection with up to £1000 per claim, sorry this is quite a hard one to explain
