Glove Box Handle replacement

Hi guys, could you help me out finding replacement parts for the handle and closing mechanism for the glove box.
It's always been broken since I bought it last year but now it doesn't shut at all.

Looks like it's been slammed shut in the past or the handle has been forced - it sort of hangs to one side - feels like one of the pivot points has snapped.

* As an aside, I switched from my 17" winter tyres to 16" continentals this week and it's made a blinder of a difference in terms of MPGs and road noise. I know it's not cool but it's made me happy Smile 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

Nope not yet, I was planning on taking it apart this weekend but it was too hot to be stuck in the car!
A spring has fallen out now, it might be a case of reassembling it all but I think something has broken. When I've taken a look I'll post here. 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual

I've done the same as you have, taken apart and re-assembled (after nearly losing the spring). I managed to get the thing to close again but literally have to force it to clamp shut with the force of my foot against it.

Just to update. I re-assembled the locking mechanism (not too fiddly) then as recommended elsewhere on here got a screw driver and just forced the U shaped latch that grabs onto the door/handle upwards very slightly. The door now clips shut perfectly. Thumbs Up

I've just taken a look and it's a fairly simple device.
Obviously the spring goes somewhere, but I can't work out where! Alternatively can someone tell where I can buy a replacement?

I couldn't tell you the part number but a couple of emails to Duckworth Parts and a replacement part, three screws later and it's all sorted Smile 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual
