2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black
Transmission fluid leak -2006HSE MANUAL

Has anyone else had issues with loss of transmission fluid? Over the last 18 months I have had ongoing problems. The car has been back to the service agent on numerous occasions. After telling me that they couldn't find anything 'was i sure it wasn't a/c condensation!' they finally admitted it was transmission fluid. Three visits later it is going back in for a fourth time ( they pinched the seal on two occasions) as still not resolved-great for three weeks and now leaking again! Big Cry

Australia

Hi boggymarsh,
My manual Freelander2 2010 had a gearbox leak from new. Had seals replaced three times with about 2 weeks delay each time as none available in Australia and had to be brought in from UK! Finally found the sealant in the top of gearbox was inadequate, this was attended to and no further problem in 25,000ks since. Maybe your problem is similar to mine, let me know outcome.
Cheers,Bob

I reckon the garages have the general attitude the vehicle owners are all thick and dont know the first thing about their cars or what they are talking about, but occasionally you do get some owners that know more than they do, well quite often as it happens. Rolling Eyes
