I own a 2007 mod with manual gearbox.
Since i bought this car there have been a humming noise from the rear in 40 km/h after reaching 45 km/h it disepear.
I have changed to summer tyre and know it show up in 90 km/h and disepear when reaching 95 km/h.
It also do show up in 40 Km/h with summer tyre.
May it be the tyre or something with the haldex or a wheel bearing.
I have tryed to put it in neutral and with the clutch in and out, no change in sound.
I have read a lot of the haldex problem and diff bearings but never that the sound shows up in particulare speeds.
Does any one knoes about this ?

I had similar sounds from the back end at around 40-50 mph. It turned out to be rear diff bearings. See my posts in "Rear Diff Repair." I hope its a wheel bearing- you should check these first as they are cheap enough to do. Good luck mate.

Hmmm ok, is it more then those two bearings i have to change if it is the diff bearings ?
You mention in the post that you had order other parts.
Nice if you could list up what i need for this job.
My brother is a car mechanic so he can help me.
I don't think it's a wheel bearing cause normaly the noise change or disapear when turning left or right.

The best way to tell if it is a wheel bearing or the diff is get it to the speed where the hum appears, then push the clutch in if it still hums then it will be the wheel bearings but if the hum disappears with no load then its the diff.

Yes the bulletin that you linked to lists the parts that you need. I'm not sure if the kit includes all those parts, you would need to check that. I bought my parts here www.brit-car.co.uk for around £65 but you need the oil as well.
