United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black
Replacing sound system with a 2DIN all in one sound/Nav/DVD

I'm about to exchange my 57 plate Stormyday grey HSE for an 09 Santorini black GS. The new car is obviously much lower spec than the old and I need to add Satnav and Bluetooth phone to it.

I considered adding a Parrot and doing a retro-fit Satnav installation into the cubby hole where the factory fit system would go. But looking at ebay for around £200 I could get an all-in-one 2DIN size unit to replace the current sound system that would meet my needs and then some.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience in doing this modification (a search didn't turn up much). I'm concerned about how well these systems integrate with the steering wheel volume controls and the sound for the rear parking sensors.

Any help greatly appreciated.

No experience in this particular car but I did find the one i had it my last one to be half decent. Its all cheap chinese electronics though so don't expect it to last forever. I'm sure a search on google provides many possibilities such as

Thanks that appears to be a retrofit gps only based on a garmin gps. What I'm looking for is a replacement for the stereo system into a 2din format?

I fitted a low cost 2 DIN unit to my L322. No easy way to get the steering wheel controls to operate and menu system was a bit naff. Apart from that, it was excellent. Not sure how it would have coped with the audio for the parking sensors.
