Fuel Tank Venting

Just wondering if anyone as hear of this, fuel tank venting lets you add extra fuel to the tank when filling up by pressing a release button which is next to the filler neck, cant see any button on the FL2.If you unsure what it is just google it.

If you fill a tank fully full on a cold day , then the sun comes out the fuel could expand and leak out of the tank.

I happened to me with a VW rabbit in the USA, leaking petrol over the yard of the apartment I rented, the landlord was not happy as it ate into the tarmac. At work

The fuel will expand and you could end up with a right mess, I only fully fill mine when im then going on a long trip, ive managed to get an extra 3-4 litres in but as CG has said, pointless unless your off some where right away. Thumbs Up

I only fill mine at night for this reason... so you get more fuel for your money !!!
another trick, especially when filling petrol, is do it slowly........ so it vapors less, and you get what you pay for...
