United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Stornoway Grey

Hopefully my last question on the subject: there is a pair of xenon headlights on ebay but they are of the AFS type. I have a TD4 S, am I correct in thinking that I cannot fit these to my vehicle?
Note: I've had the CCF updated to operate xenons but not sure about the AFS system.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thumbs Up

I would hazard a guess, that they would default to a straight ahead position, as should be the case if they failed.
The car already has steering angle sensors and I would imagine that the signals come from the CAN bus, if this is the case then a signal could be activated for the lamps, I would doubt much else was needed.

As above. The theory is adaptives should be okay as they would default to the straight ahead position. I don't know anyone who's done it. I think there was someone on here a while ago that did it with success.

Indeed, they should default to straight ahead.

The autoleveling only ECU is different from the AFS+autoleveling ECU.
So you must change it too if you have xenons without AFS and you want AFS.
But it isn't the case of exmilade as he will do the "autoleveling" manually. Very Happy

Spain 2011 Freelander 2 TD4_e S Manual Fuji White

Hi to all
First of all, I wish you to have a very happy new year.
I have a MY 2011, and it comes with the facelift, so it comes with reflector on the low beam lights. I have bougth a pair of D1S bulbs and a pair of ballast. I have borrow a VCM and a IDS software, and I am looking where to activate the xenon bulbs, but I dindnīt find it, so the lights are flickering. Does any one knows, where to find this on the LR IDS software, and coulb be so kind as to tell me. Once I did It, I offer my self to do it to any one who wantīs to do change to xenon from the h11 bulbs, completely free.
Thank you very much

I didn't seen/used a IDS until now, but I suppose it has something to do with the editing/modifying of the car's configuration file.

I have received the D1S bulbs (Philips XenStart) and I am waiting for the ballast. Will I need anything more to install the new bulbs to the car. Will really be the same the connector of the ballast and the carīs h11 connector.
