That's what you get for lowering a car

A silver citroen saxo had an unfortunate accident following me today. I have seen him driving quickly around before but today he followed me down a side street.

He wasn't driving like mad or tailgating but he obviously didn't anticipate the speed bump because I went over it and was surprised to note that he didn't slow down.

Having taken the speed bump in my stride I saw him go over it and heard a loud scraping noise followed by a loud bang. He stopped the car and I could see a rather large piece of plastic lying in the road which I can only assume was some of the body kit. OOPS!

I bet you guys have similar modded cars blasting around your area. This guy's car wasn't too far removed from this one: &feature=related

Outstanding Laughing Thumbs Up

I must say there were some issues with my dad's old Defender 90. Mostly some bits going missing from the back door Whistle LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Rolling with laughter funny but so true!
A policeman who often drives police FL2's told me the door mouldings can come off if you drive through standing water too fast!
After that i did notice a couple of police fl2's with missing door trims.

Drivers door lower moulding came off when I was on an LR Experience. Instructor just put it back with two good thumps and said it does that all the time!

United Kingdom 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Rimini Red

Apparently the lowering trick the citroen guys use is to take out the rear springs - the suspension has a torsion bar on some models like the old beetle had on the front suspension and this will damp the car a little
leaving the shockers to control the bounce. Tip - don't cary any rear paaseners - in fact take out the seat to actively discourage anyone from getting in the back. Rolling with laughter There's always a way forward!
