2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey
For Sale Freelander 2 Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror

My wife is selling an auto dimming interior mirror we retro-fitted to our Freelander 2 GS. We have to sell the car as we are leaving for Oz in a couple of months.

I successfully installed it by just taking a feed from the interior light and it worked perfectly. Its very easy to do and very easy to put back to original spec. No stripping trim anything required.

Its listed on ebay but you can get in touch directly if you want.

Cheers,

Marc

My wife says you can have the dipping wing mirrors on our new HSE if you want. When in reverse they dip towards the ground to stop you from running over bugs. So far she has managed to avoid 2 spiders and an ant, but has run down 3 pedestrians at Asda Wink

"run down three pedestrians at ASDA" - My niece would claim that's not enough! She works on customer service at Runcorn Asda and would welcome any reduction in her workload Whistle Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Sounds like you need to setup the wing mirrors - there are a few threads on here about how to do that. Thumbs Up

A little bit of poetic licence, but it is annoying. Being a man I have not read the manual Embarassed

This was the upgraded interior rear view mirror which automatically darkens when headlights come up from your rear Whistle

For wing mirrors - put car in reverse then position them where you want them for reversing (like nearside mirror showing rear alloy etc) - go back into drive and they will go to your chosen 'driving' setting but remember the reversing positions you chose for when you go into reverse again.

Once in reverse if you backwards too quick (over 5mph?) then they reposition to driving setting anyway. Have it on mine and found it dead handy Very Happy

I disabled mine on the D3 awful things, if you can use your mirrors normally I cannot see the point of the dipping ones when I used it I could not reverse the vehicle or judge the distance correctly, just my opinion and I am sure that someone will say they are great
