Occasionally only the driver's door will unlock with two (or more) presses of the unlock button on the key fob. The rest have to be unlocked from the inside.

Has anyone seen this issue before? I don't have two key fobs so I can't do much to troubleshot if it's the fob or the car...

Update: I went out and tried to open the car. It turns out that when the problem exists all the functions only work intermittently. I have to press "open trunk" about 10 times before the trunk actually opens. The function that works most reliably is the "driver's unlock" and the one that works least reliably is the "double press" unlock for all doors. That will work if I press the unlock key about 25 times.

I'm wondering if the battery is going bad? Things seem to work fine after the fob has been in the ignition for a while. Installed a hitch, stock roof rack, mantec skid plates, General Grabbers AT2 255/60/R18, and a rear access ladder. Also made a hitch-mount for the winch. Looking to install a front hitch, rooft-top basket, and lift kit.

Chances are that if the battery was going bad you would only have a chance of operating the remote a few times before it went completely flat so it is probably another problem. My remote can be a bit temperamental at times and like you I only have one (trying to source another to be safe) Cheers,

Called the dealership last week about a new remote...they quoted me about $550 for the whole thing (including programming)...that's insane.

I can cut that in down by $150 if I only get the fob not the key, which I'll probably do first thing on Monday. I can just swap the key back and forth between fobs.
